Oh, I so need to sort out my diet Marian. I will give that tip on eating less and more often a go though. Years of poor eating habits means I’ve got a lot to put right.
You may laugh a little at mine, but I love to play online roleplay games. It takes me out of where I am and lets my mind go somewhere else and its fun. I also love to scrapbook too. Creating things de stresses me.
Sounds fun, Heather! Imaginative creativity is a wonderful stress-reliever.
Clive, it’s amazing what a healthful diet can do. Give it a try!
Awesome reminders! I know I falter occasionally!! great job! P
I just love that you are connecting what you eat to your stress and emotional levels. Great topic! A healthy diet is so important to overall health 😉
Thanks, Patricia! We all falter sometimes — its getting back on track that’s most important.
Yes, Daveda, Thank you. There’s soooo much we can do with diet to feel wonderful.
I can never get enough information about reducing stress, especially through mindful eating…thanks!
I’ve tried that EFT Tapping and it really works. I meditate for an hour every night…also going to the gym really helps.I’m not going to lie, I just started back. Thanks for the Great Artical!
I like your common-sensical advice and solutions that should suit just about anyone. My favorite way to de-stress is to get in my car and drive. Change of scenery always gets out me out of my usual head space!
Thanks for these tips Marian! I appreciate it, because this is a reminder that I need to be more conscious of my health!
Perfect for a post on my client’s FB page! Thanks for this info!
Always knew exercise and meditation would lower stress levels but interesting how foods you eat are equally as important!
Michael, It is interesting! And rather amazing that food can be so powerful!
You’re welcome, Cheryl. And thank you!
You’re welcome David.
Ahh, yes, Jackie. A change of scenery always helps me too!
Brian, I’m happy to know that you’ve had success with EFT. It really does work! An hour a night of meditation takes real dedication. Congrats on getting back to the gym!
You’re welcome, Beth. Stress relief is absolutely crucial for good health.
Thanks for the tips. I will try to use them during the upcoming stressful season. Thanks ~Teras
This is right on time for me!
Getting out and “smelling the roses” is something I need to a lot more of. Need to work on the breathing and meditation.
Some great ideas here. Can you give me an example of naturally fermented vegetables? I’ve not heard of that.
Thanks for your comment, Shelly. Kimchi and sauerkraut are examples of naturally fermented vegetables. However, sauerkraut made with vinegar is not. Naturally fermented veggies are cultured with natural strains of bacteria, or some sort of probiotic culture. They can be home-made or purchased in the refrigerated section of most natural foods stores. They are probiotic, enzyme-rich, and nutrient rich. Sour and delicious! I have a recipe if you’re interested….
Awesome tips! Eating the right kinds of foods really help in destressing. What are these typical low-sugar fruits that you recommend?
I love this line: “…when you nourish your body-mind, you will transform your life.” Nevertheless, you have provided a good list to lessen if not, remove those stresses in our mind and body.
Thank you, Edmund!
Hi, Lorii — Berries, apples, cantaloup, grapefuit, nectarines & peaches are some fruits that are low in sugar. Be Well, Marian
Great advice. I like to go for a long walk in the Park it seems to free up my mind. Thank you.
